Velkommen
til Solbakken Lodge!
Solbakken 6-064 was instituted on June 6, 1953 in Fullerton, CA. Since the early 1970's we have been meeting in Placentia, CA at the Round Table Women’s Club, 901 N. Bradford. We are proud to have about 300 members enjoying our Norwegian Heritage. We welcome new members who are interested in the pursuit of cultural enrichment, social fellowship and the opportunity to help others through our charitable endeavors, all with a Nordic flavor.
Meetings
Solbakken Lodge meets 10 months a year on the first Wednesday of the month, always at the Placentia Roundtable, 901 N. Bradford, Placentia. Meeting time is 6:00 P.M., starting with a 30-minute Social period. We bring a dish at 6 P.M., eat at 6:30 P.M., and follow dinner with our regular meeting. Main dishes are sometimes furnished by the lodge. In the summer, we combine our Lodge and Board of Directors meeting into what is known as an Open Board Meeting. These are held during the months of July and August, almost always in someone's spacious backyard. They are potluck events and we generally get together for them about 5 P.M. Our regular lodge meetings begin with a 30/45-minute cultural program.
